We invite you to submit papers for the special issue of the Colombian Journal of Statistics on the topic of statistics in industry and industrial statistics. The goal of this special issue is to engage researchers and practitioners in a dialogue that leads to more effective applications of statistics in industry.

The special issue will seek innovations in statistical methodologies and in applied research. Papers submitted to this special issue typically include novel developments in the application of industrial statistics and case studies implementing them, and not previously published or under revision in any other publication.

We welcome applications to problems in engineering, manufacturing, process/chemical industry, physical sciences, or service and agricultural industries. The mathematical level of the papers may range from basic, to that of the Journal of Quality Technology or Technometrics.

On the subject of the email please make sure you distinguish your submission for this special issue by writing your last name and “special issue” (i.e. Romeu_special issue). Papers will be doubly blinded refereed, and will be selected based on subject matter, technical correctness, usefulness, interest, clarity, and readability.
